Liverpool v Sunderland Tips - Fast Start For Reds?

First stop of the new football betting season for Nicspicks is Anfield where we have two teams I'd tip to go well this year. Sunderland may take some time to gel whereas Liverpool look ready to go, with a nice warm up win vs Valencia last week. I've been talking a lot about the Downing / Carroll ploy this season and very interested to see how it goes at Anfield on Saturday.

Look for Liverpool to focus a lot of play down the left flank for Downing which could lead to plenty of corners for Liverpool as Sunderland look to keep it tight, especially early on. Sunderland have built a nice unit under Bruce but are lacking a bit of potency in the final third. I expect Sunderland to put up a decent fight but Liverpool should gather all 3 points. There's no value on the outright win but dutching a 1 or 2 goal winning margin is the tip of the day.
