Copa America Top Scorer Tips 2011
I'll be focusing mainly on Copa America group A in the top scorer market which has goals written all over it. Lionel Messi is the obvious favourite but is often played out of position and under performs for Argentina, which resulted in no goals for him at the World Cup. If he doesn't fire at the Copa America, there are plenty of value candidates to pick up the top scorer award. Angel Di Maria has been priced up at 66's across the board and could be a decent E/W value shout but the following 3 players are my best value tips in the top scorer market:
Copa America Top Scorer Tips
Tip 1: Carlos Tevez E/W @ 10/1 (WH) 1 of the favourites and unlikely to be on pen duty but I can't ignore his goal scoring ability in a group where Argentina should create a mountain of chances in their 3 games against Colombia, Bolivia and costa Rica. Downside is that he may be rested for the final group game if Argentina win their first 2 matches. Extremely dangerous in and around the box and refreshed after missing the most part of the back end of last season. Looks a great trading opportunity at the very least.
Offers: There should be some great value on Betfair for the 2011 Copa America as well as opportunity to make money trading markets such as the top scorer. Open an account here for a free £25 no loss bet. Bet365 are offering new customers up to £200 in free bets to take advantage of for this year's Copa America. Huge odds currently on my next top scorer tip.
Tip 2: Radamel Falcao E/W @ 20/1 (BET365) Superb scoring record in his football career wherever he's been, averaging approximately 1 in 2 goals overall. Superb finisher and being chased this summer by Europe's biggest clubs, including Chelsea and Real Madrid. Again, he is in the easiest group and will line up against Bolivia and Costa Rica and Colombia could be a surprise package and a decent tip to go far if the draw is kind in the Copa America knockout stages.
Tip 3: Robinho E/W @ 33/1 (WH) Big price and probably won't last. Brazil may not be at full strength and Robinho may not play up top but this price represents huge value on a player that's already claimed the Copa America top scorer award in 2007. Seems to play his best football for his national side and could be Brazil's main man once again.
