Chelsea v Manchester UTD Betting Tips (Premier League dec 18):

TIP 1: Chelsea v Manchester UTD over 2.5 goals @ 5/4 Betfair Chelsea v Manchester UTD is the big Premier League Betting game of the weekend and as usual in football games of this magnitude I think the sportsbooks generally side a little too much with the unders in the betting(my records would back up this theory), leaving value with backing the over 2.5 goals. Lampard will be back and he's huge for Chelsea, not least for his set piece delivery which will benefit Didier Drogba and the big men at the back who have been lacking in goals in Lampard's absence. Manchester UTD are a good tip to play their defensive 451 formation but 5/4 still good betting value for me on the over 2.5 goals.

TIP 2: Frank Lampard anytime scorer @ 11/4 (PP) As mentioned in the title, Lampard is back and expected to start and loves the big matches. He is a weapon at Stamford bridge with his shooting ability and forward runs into the box. It's no surprise to those really in the know to see Chelsea struggling without him. A penalty would hardly be surprising for Chelsea vs Manchester UTD and I think Lampard will resume penalty duties for Chelsea after Drogba's horrendous miss that cost us a 15/2 winner last week. Betting on a penalty to be given could a decent outside betting opportunity depending on the odds close the off.
If Jamie Redknapp is in the studio, Lampard is a good longshot value betting tip for Man of the match @ 7/1 (B/sq). Redknapp's bias is not hidden and a half decent performance in a Chelsea win would make him a very hard man to beat for that accolade.
